Victor Erik Olof Hedman, commonly known as Victor Hedman, is a professional ice hockey player from the USA. Victor currently plays as alternate captain and defenseman for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL.
When the 2009 NHL Entry Draft was held, the Lightning chose Hedman with the second overall pick. Hedman, known as one of the top defensemen in the National Hockey League, has been a finalist for the James Norris Memorial Trophy five times, and he won the trophy in 2018.
Hedman led the Lightning to consecutive Stanley Cup victories in 2020 and 2021, and he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoffs’ MVP in 2020. In addition, the Lightning gave Hedman the Stanley cup.
