Michael Anthony Clevinger, professionally known as Mike Clevinger, is a baseball pitcher from the USA who currently plays for the Major League Baseball (MLB) team, San Diego Padres. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Cleveland Indians.
Clevinger was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on the 21st of December in 1990. He received his diploma from Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim chose him during the fourth round of the MLB Draft in 2011. He started his professional career in 2011 with the Orem Owlz of the rookie level, then in 2012, he was advanced to the Cedar Rapids Kernels, where he pitched in eight games.
He underwent reconstructive elbow surgery, and as a direct consequence, he could only pitch in three games in 2013.
