He underwent years of physical therapy and surgery to improve his walking ability. He is currently 38 years old and is healthy.

His parents’ names are Sue and Rob Benetti, but he has not revealed any information about their occupations or siblings to the public. Despite his desire to play tuba, his condition has hindered his ambitions.

Benetti was able to excel in his career despite his health condition. Since junior high school, he’d been doing his part as a sports commentator and play-by-play announcer.

Benetti’s career took off after joining ESPN in 2011 when he began appearing on television. The Chicago White Sox announced in May 2017 that Benetti would take over Harrelson’s responsibilities as the team’s full-time play-by-play announcer in 2019 when he retires.

His career has gotten a boost after he was selected to do play-by-play for NBC Sports’ baseball coverage of the Summer Olympics. He also works with the CHAT Camp at his alma mater, Syracuse University.
