José Manuel Figueroa professionally known as Joan Sebastian was a well-known singer and songwriter from Mexico. His early years were spent mostly on Latin pop tunes, but he later shifted his concentration to regional Mexican music, notably banda, mariachi, and norteo.
During his career, he has released a number of Spanish-language country songs. Sebastian was most known for his composition “As es la Vida,” but he also dabbled in acting. In 1996, he began acting in the Mexican soap opera called “T y Yo,” co-starring his former wife Maribel Guardia.

Unfortunately, The well-known singer Joan Sebastian died. He was diagnosed with bone cancer for the first time in 1999.
Joan got cancer therapy and survived; but, in 2007, he revealed that cancer had returned. The well-known singer said he was in remission after undergoing cancer therapy for the second time.
On July 26, 2012, he announced that his cancer had reappeared for the third time during one of his shows. During his performances in Zacatecas in 2014, he announced that he was fighting cancer for the fourth time.
The well-known singer disclosed to the public weeks before his death that he had been hospitalized and was receiving cancer therapy under medical care. Joan died of bone cancer on July 13, 2015, at his property Cruz de la Sierra in Teacalco Guerrero, Mexico.
