Avery Buchholz’s Biography
Dr. Avery Buchholz finished his studies at an institution in Charleston, South Carolina, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with the highest Latin honor. He then went to the Wisconsin University’s School for Public Health and Medicine in Madison for his postgraduate medical degree.
Moreover, he served as chief resident and even completed his neurological surgery residency at the South Carolina Medical University in Charleston. Later, he won a national award for best clinical research while finishing a conference for complicated spine surgeries and an AO spine fellowship at the Virginia University at Charlottesville.
Furthermore, Dr. Buchholz is a member of different medical organizations such as the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the North American Spine Society.
Aside from being board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, he served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard 13th MEED and Medical Service Corp. as its second lieutenant.
