Morton Wayne Thiebaud, professionally known as Wayne Thiebaud, was a renowned American artist whose works have gained recognition globally. He was born on the 15th day of November 1920 in Mesa, Arizona, to parents Morton and Alice Eugenia Thiebaud.

His works have been featured in numerous galleries and museums across the United States of America, such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among many others.

Is Wayne Thiebaud married to a new wife or is he dating a girlfriend?

The renowned American painter is not possibly dating a girlfriend or married to a wife as he succumbed to death last year on the 25th day of December 2021. He passed away at his home in Sacramento, California.

There are no known underlying medical conditions that contributed to his passing. On the other hand, according to the sources, it is believed that the real reason behind his death is that he was old at the time of his passing at age 101.

In addition to this, Wayne’s daughter has not yet disclosed to the general public that her father is ill. The media has not been given any medical information to explain the death of the artist.

According to reports online, Wayne was possibly single and has not been romantically engaged with someone during the last years of his life. Moreover, after his separation from his second and last wife, Betty Jean, due to her death, he has not been in an affair with anyone.

Wayne Thiebaud’s Previous Marriages

During the course of the painter’s life, he had two marriages.

Patricia Patterson

He got to know and eventually married Patricia Patterson in 1943 while he was serving in the military. The then-couple had two children.

In 1959, after the birth of their two kids, however, their marriage did not last, and they decided to end their union. His daughters followed their mother to Marin County in California so that they could continue their education after graduating from Redwood High School.

Betty Jean Thiebaud

After his first marriage to Patricia ended in divorce, he began a new life with his second wife, Betty Jean, during the same year. Before her marriage to the most famous painter in the United States, Wayne Thiebaud, Betty Jean Carr worked in the film industry as a teacher.

At that time, the artist took on the responsibility of raising Betty’s son, Matthew, and the couple went on to have another child together. After getting married in 1959, the married couple lived together until the passing of Wayne Thiebaud’s wife in 2015 after a protracted battle with Alzheimer’s disease, at which point they divorced.

He has four children overall, two daughters from his first marriage and two sons from his second marriage.

Twinka Thiebaud

She is Wayne’s oldest child with his first wife, Patricia. Twinka was born on the 9th day of December 1945 in Los Angeles, California.

The 76-year-old woman was employed as an author, painter, and model by a number of the most renowned photographers.

Mallary Ann Thiebaud

She is his second child with Patricia. In contrast to all of her siblings’ life, Mallary Ann’s background is shrouded in mystery.

Matthew Bult

He is Wayne’s adoptive son from his second wife, Betty. It appears that he both, much like Twinka and Paul, pursued an artistic endeavor as a means of making a living.

As per sources, he passed away in 2013 due to unsaid reasons.

Paul LeBaron Thiebaud

Paul is his youngest child with his second wife; he was born on the 10th day of October 1960. He was also a successful art dealer and started the Paul Thiebaud Gallery in San Francisco and New York.

After the passing of Allan Stone, Wayne’s sole dealer, and a close personal friend, in 2006, he took over the representation of his father until Paul’s passing on the 19th day of June 2010. He died from colon cancer at age forty-nine.
